Big D Vacuum Cleaner Centers began in 1977 when Tony Pennington opened the doors with a simple belief—treat every customer with honesty, respect, and genuine care.
What started as a small local vacuum shop in Carrollton, Texas, quickly grew into a trusted name across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Tony built the business the old-fashioned way: through honest advice, dependable repair work, and relationships that lasted for decades.

For nearly 50 years, this business has been shaped by one thing—people.
Customers didn’t just come here to buy vacuums. They came here for guidance, repair expertise, and someone they could trust to tell them the truth—even when it wasn’t the most expensive option.

Passing the Torch
In 2010, Nathan Madison joined the company as a student from Newman Smith High School through a co-op program.
What began as a hands-on learning opportunity quickly turned into a long-term career built on passion, technical skill, and customer service.
Over 16 years, Nathan worked side-by-side with Tony, learning every aspect of the business—from precision repairs to helping customers choose the right machine for their home or business.
When Tony retired, he made the intentional decision to pass the business forward to Nathan—someone who shared the same values of honesty, integrity, and service.
Today, Nathan proudly continues that legacy as the owner of Big D Vacuum Cleaner Centers.
